Michael has seen all of the plays offered each summer for over 20 years.  No matter how busy he is he finds time to experience Cedar City’s Shakespeare Festival.  

The truth is – you’re going to love it too!  It doesn’t matter if you are a Shakespeare fanatic or just love to see great plays, we promise you will treasure the time you spend with Michael and the plays in Cedar City.  Each year they put on an American Play, a comedy play and a musical in addition they put on 3 Shakespeare plays – a total of 6 plays altogether.  Even those that thought they would not like Shakespeare have thoroughly enjoyed every play.  The secret is Michael.  Before each play, Michael spends an hour explaining the plot of the play along with each of the characters.  It is amazing how well you understand Shakespeare after listening to Michael.

  • The three plays that will be played in the Adam’s outdoor Shakespeare Theater
    • Merry Wives of Windsor – A wonderful Comedy
    • Mary Stuart – Political power games between Elizabeth I and Mary Queen of Scots
    • Titus Andronicus – Heads are going to roll in this vicious play of revenge & retribution
  • The three plays that will be played in the Randal Theater:
    • Les Misérables – An Inspiring Musical
    • To Kill A Mocking Bird – Based on the novel by Harper Lee
    • Scapin – Mayhem & Mischief – Uproarious Comedy

Why we are not traveling by bus:

The price from Salt Lake City, driver accommodations and drivers meals, cost almost $100 per person. We felt most of you could drive to and from Cedar City for around $40. With so many of our passengers coming from other cities and states, we just felt it would work better having you drive to Cedar City.
