Day 1: Sept 22: Fly to Venice
Fly from the US to Venice Italy
Day 2: Sept 23: Verona – Venice This morning after arriving into Venice we will drive the short distance to Verona, home of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. This is one of the most picturesque old cities in Europe. After a tour of the old town, you will have time to explore and have lunch at one of the many sidewalk cafes. This afternoon we will head to Padova to overnight at your deluxe hotel. Day 3: Sept 24: Venice We will spend a full day touring and exploring Venice. After our tour you will have plenty of time to walk the many old streets and bridges found in Venice. You will also have time to enjoy a gondola boat ride and eat in one of the many quant sidewalk café’s. We will return early evening to your deluxe hotel. .
Day 4: Sept 25: Ravenna – Florence
This morning we will travel to Ravenna, a World Heritage Site. Here they have some of the best ancient mosaic floors and walls found anywhere in the world. After our ½ day tour we will continue on to Florence.
Day 5: Sept 26: Florence
We will have a full day to enjoy Florence and all that it has to offer. We will spend the day visiting the center of the Renaissance, whose liberating ideas helped pave the way for the reformation. This city is the home to the Medici family, Michelangelo, Leonardo de Vinci and Dante. We will take a guided tour of the old city, visiting such sites as the Piazza del Duomo, including the beautiful Baptistry Doors that inspired Michelangelo. We will also visit the original statue of David in the Academy Museum. You will have time to shop in the old streets of Florence and also time to enjoy the many sidewalk cafes before returning to our hotel this evening.
Day 6: Sept 27: Pisa – Tuscany – Rome
We will spend the day traveling through the Tuscany Countryside visiting small villages, Pisa and San Gimignano before heading to Rome where we will overnight. .
Day 7: Sept 28: Rome
Rome can not be done in a day as the ship tries to do. We will spend 2 full days touring Rome and then board our ship for the Island of Sicily, Greece and Turkey. This morning early we will visit a separate country, Vatican City. We will visit St. Peters Basilica (the largest church in the world), St. Peters Square, the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel. In the afternoon we will visit the magnificent Coliseum and the Forum before returning to our deluxe hotel. .
Day 8: Sept 29: Rome – Navigator of the Seas
This morning we will take a city tour visiting the many fountains, including the Trevi Fountain, which has been made famous by many movies including “Three Coins in a Fountain”. We will also visit the Pantheon and one of the best small museums in the world – the Bernini Museum. This afternoon we will head to the coast to catch our beautiful Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship – Navigator of the Seas.
Day 9: Sept 30: Messina Sicily
We will not be visiting the Godfathers or the mobs while in Sicily. Sicily has much to offer in Scenery and Volcanic Mountains. We will be offering an optional tour of the area and Messina.
Day 10: Oct 1: Fun Day at Sea
Today you will be able to enjoy a day at sea. We will hold our own get to-gethers.
Day 11: Oct 2: Athens
Our optional discounted shore excursion will include tours to the Acropolis, Athens City Tour, Olympic sites and a lot more. Day 12: Oct 3: Ephesus Our optional discounted shore excursion will include a full day tour to the ancient ruins of Ephesus. These ancient ruins are some of the best ruins found anywhere in the world and should not be missed. We will also tour other sites in the area before returning to the ship. Day 13: Oct 4: Chania on the Island of Crete We will offer a full day optional shore excursion that will tour Chania and the Island of Crete
Day 14: Oct 5: Fun Day at Sea
You will enjoy another relaxing fun day at sea. We will also hear again from our Educator along with our farewell party.
Day 15: Oct 6: Rome -- Pompeii
This morning, after disembarking your cruise ship, if there is enough time we will visit Pompeii before returning to your hotel to overnight in Rome.
Day 16: Oct 7: Rome – Flight Home
This morning you will travel the short distance to the Rome Airport and your flight home. You will return all the way home the same day.
