Travels of Paul Cruise

NEW Testament Studies! Greece, Turkey and Ancient Christianity 17 day tour - June 2, 2026

New Testament Cruise

This special CRUISE and tour, is a wonderful chance to enhance your studies of the New Testament with Glenn Rawson. If you have spent time studying the New Testament in your church or on your own – next year would be the perfect time to visit many of the sites mentioned in the New Testament. The tour also includes early Christian history in the areas you are visiting. Below is a small list of some of the highlights you will experience on Glenn Rawson’s Travel of Paul and the Apostles Cruise:

  • Athens: Paul taught on Mars Hill at the base of the Acropolis.
  • Corinth: Paul spent over a year in Corinth working, teaching and starting a church.
  • Thessaloniki: Paul with Silas and Timothy spent several months in Thessaloniki. 1 Thessalonian is Paul’s letter to the church in Thessaloniki.
  • Ephesus: Paul and John were involved in creating the church in Ephesus and other churches in the surrounding area.
  • Island of Crete: The apostle Paul also taught the gospel on the Island of Crete.
  • Rome: Paul was held in prison near the Forum of Rome, and it was here that Paul died a martyr for his faith.
There are three other wonderful places we will visit that are not directly tied to the Bible:
  • Meteora: One of the highlights and our favorite area to visit in all of Greece. Meteora has ancient Monasteries built on top of sheer rock pinnacles.
  • The Island of Santorini: Our favorite and the most beautiful of all of Greeks Island.
  • Olympia, Greece: The birthplace of the most famous and important sporting event in the ancient World – the Olympic Games.

The ship is parked in Kusadasi, a fair distance from Ephesus.  Our shore excursion package will visit Ephesus and the surrounding area.

Day 10: June 11: Santorini, Greece
Not all islands are created equal.  Santorini is a ten on a scale of one to ten and is the most beautiful of the Greek Islands. This is a tendered port, which means that we will take tender boats from the ship to shore. Our excursion today will explore Santorini’s unique history as we walk narrow winding streets while admiring the traditional architecture. The tour starts with a visit to the village of Oia – pronounced “Eee-ah”. The village is approximately 500 feet above sea level. The beauty of Oia is unsurpassed. In fact, it is almost impossible to describe in words. Small white house’s terrace the hillside, interspersed by splashes of rich okra, deep fuchsia, cobalt blue, oyster pink and earthy red. It is one of the most photographed places in Greece. It has inspired artists, poets and every visitor who visits Santorini. In Oia there are two types of dwellings, the cave houses dug into the volcanic rock on the Caldera cliffs, and the captain’s houses. The cave houses used to be the homes of ship crews, whereas the captain’s houses belonged to the affluent class of ship owners. After exploring this wonderful village, we will return to Fira where you will have time to shop and explore before taking a cable car back to the ship.

Day 11: June 12: Chania, Crete, Greece
Today our shore excursion includes stops at the Tombs of Venizelos, the ruins of Aptera, and a city tour of Chania.  If time permits, you will have time to shop and enjoy Chania on your own before returning to the ship.
